HAK.5 Cast

I met Wess and Darren in high school 6 or 7 years ago. At the time, we knew each other casually since we hung out in the same groups. Years later, I manage to run into Darren again and we quickly become friends. He reconnects me with Wess, and I introduce him to Harrison. One night, while out on the front porch just sitting and talking, Darren brings out his camera and sets it up on the steps, filming the two of us talking about the idea of us doing an IPTV show. Behold, Hak.5 was born. We spent a month or two formulating ideas and pushing back the starting date until suddenly production was on and we were moving forward, high-speed toward our release date, August 5, 2005. Since then, it has been only getting better and more fun with each segment we get done.

This show allows me to experience and enjoy what I love so much- entertainment. I’ve been working in theatrical productions since high school whether it be as a one of the cast, a stage hand, set production, or hair & makeup. In college, I took a more active role as Stage Manager and even took the female lead role in a one-act play. As a director, Darren challenges me and lets me get away with NOTHING.

Though photography and entertainment productions are true passions of mine, my first love was video games. When I was 9 years old, I used to sneak into my brother’s room to watch him play Final Fantasy VII. Once he caught me at this, he put me to work reading the strategy guides to him when he needed help. Once we got older and my brother started spending more time away from home, I learned how to pick the lock on my brother’s door so I could sneak in to play while he wasn’t home. I would save my games on the very last save file in the hopes that he wouldn’t notice it was there. And he didn’t…for about a year. Since then, I’ve obtained my own gaming consoles and have expanded my game collection.

So if you can’t find me at a computer, behind the lens, or on the set of Hak.5, I’m most likely in front of the TV, controller in hand.
