Background

Call for Help was a ZDTV/TechTV show hosted by Leo Laporte. Allowing viewers to call in, Leo and his helpful staff would answer questions and provide productivity tips, reviews, and other assorted fun. Leo would also occasionally give away products from show sponsors or self-signed items when viewers called in to play a simple game.

Cancellation

Sadly, Call for Help ended its United States run when cable giant Comcast purchased TechTV and merged it with its G4 network under the moniker of G4TechTV. Only a few TechTV shows managed to survive this merger, and Call for Help was not one of them. The last United States episode featured Leo dressed in 'cowboy' apparel, something he "had always wanted to do since the start of the show".

Canada

Call for Help still tapes and airs new episodes in Canada, where TechTV is known as G4TechTV and owned by the Rogers Cable Company.
