Could we get some sort of update on how things are progressing? It seems to have gone somewhat stagnant. There are still a fair number of people, including myself, willing to contribute (more) to this project, yet can't because all the tables are already claimed.

Also, any news on the hardware side of things? The final table will be 1 TB in size and needs to be hosted somewhere, if anything to get the torrents going. -Cooper

It's not uncommon to see the forum used as a sort-of bitbucket to dump code, patches and scripts through. A subversion repository has been made available to the community at large, but either nobody is aware of it or people are uncomfortable using it. Should we push more for using it (for instance, it houses the NARC code) or is this a lost cause? -Cooper

I'm somewhat disappointed at the feedback the subtitle thing is getting. Once the first english one was up there were a lot of people going "Yay! Way cool, I'll translate it this weekend!" yet here we are. Those english subs take forever to make, so if people feel it's a waste of time, please say so. -Cooper

• It would be nice if we could get a dedicated server and give out free shell accounts to people. I know there are security risks, but these can be mitigated through restricted shells and other tightening.

• Administrating the forums is becoming more of a task due to software limitations.
• Spam is being brought under control, but using lots of hacks & mods will not hold if the forums carry on growing at there current rate. The more 3rd party code we use, the more problems I see in the long run. This isn’t an issue that can be fixed with more man power.
• SMF? People say its good, but I know nothing about it.
• vBulletin? Its not free, and maybe its overkill but tbh it looks like it works, and works well.
• IPB? Fairly cheap, and very moddable.

• What is the overall plan and direction for dev.5?
• How does the cast see dev.5 helping the show?
• Is the current forum setup working for Dev.5?
• How should dev.5 projects be managed? There seems to be a lot of random ideas but very little dev work after the inital concepts have been outlined.
• How should dev.5 work? (linking back to the 2nd dev.5 question)
• Is Dev.5 to open? Touchy subject that many will disagree with me about, but should membership be more restricted to those who can actually help with dev work?

• Should projects such as the switchblade, hacksaw and chainsaw be offered in a downloadable package ready to go? Or should they be made available as a build-it-yourself project, which would cut out the script kiddies and force people to learn more about these tools, how they work and how all the bits link together before they can pwn boxes with them?
