IRC Rules

Due to the recent level of idiocy in IRC, there are some new rules breaking these rules will result in a kick or a ban. This is just an extension of the network wide rules put in place by MintIRC and is by no way a limit of what you can and can't do in #hak5:
No.1 Rule - This is not a democracy, the ops try and be as fair as possible, but ultimately, what they say goes, Anything which we see as an attempt to start an argument, trolling or just being an ass will result in an instant kickban
- No one cares why your OS of choice is superior. No one cares why what I use is inferior.
- Trying to incite another user to break a rule will end up with yourself being punished.
- IRC is not twitter, don't comment on your incredibly dull life unless it is relevant to conversation
- If you have an unstable connection, please attempt to fix this, or at the least don't idle in the chat
Please don't:
- Ask/talk about hacksaw/switchshite, go here for that: http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showforum=20
- Have any vulgar or tasteless nicknames.
- Bring bots into #hak5 with out permission of a SOP (Currently SOPs are BobbyCarbn, DarkSenay and Moonlit.)
- Have OS Wars
- Touch someone inappropriately in the chatroom.
- Argue about completely pointless things
- Post NSFW links without proper warning
- Act like an idiot
- Insult each other
- Insult ops
- Talk in all caps
- Act like an idiot
- Complain about things you can't afford
- Tell everyone how rich you are, we don't care.
- Alienate new members of the community
- Talk about cracking when there is a nefarious goal
- Link to warez or any pirated material.
However please do:
- Encourage Intelligent, relevant and helpful conversation
- Participate in Community Projets
- Use your skills for the good of the community
- Help each other
- be glined with a smile :)
