Spyware Claims

The .dll some users are receiving is not even a .dll. It's apparently a server-side script (ISAPI script) that prints out a javascript statement to load a banner ad. Nothing more than that, at least as far as I can tell. Definitely no executable code (other than JS). -- Matir 09:02, 13 September 2006 (PDT)

Still, it is a little strange to the average user for a .dll file to be downloaded in such a manner. I advise stating that the site has a counter code that utilizes a file called Url_ISAPI.dll, that is not harmful to your system. After local testing, I wasn't able to duplicate the spyware concerns other people presented in screenshots to me. -- Silivrenion 18:06, 16 September 2006 (PDT)

Next Generation Project

We are nearing the end of Phase 1 (Generating) of our LM Rainbow Tables Project and will soon begin Phase 2 (Distrobution). Not very many people are going to want to download 119GB so this Phase will most likely this will go by quickly. So I believe Phase 3 is the Web Cracking interface that Staulkor has created. Currently it has the 10GB Tables and will be converted to the tables that we have generated over the past month or so. After that we will begin our next generation. We have not decided which tables we will generate next but the choices are:

  • Cisco PIX
  • MD2
  • MD4
  • MD5
  • MySQL SHA1
  • MySQL v.3.23
  • NT LanMan
  • RIPEMD-160
  • SHA1

I "pre"-generated some tables

Greetings fellow hacklings and generatorz

Since I was somewhat sure the previous assignees of the following tables wouldn't finish the job, I generated these "in advance" to up 'em when they'd be reassigned:

- 0 #19 - 1 #13 - 4 #0 - 4 #10 - 4 #11 - 4 #12

Since currently there are - again - still many tables unassigned, I ask you to generate some of the others, for progress' sake. I apologize if this is too inconvenient.

These tables are finished since few weeks ago, I missed to check the wiki for for changes these days and due to ~9 hours of time shift (I'm in CET) I wasn't able to communicate via #RainbowTables lately either ...

I'm quite surprised, about the number of cancelled assignments, and, regarding the tables we crunched in september, I'm quite surprised we didn't achieve our goal to this month's episode already _óÒ_ I solely blame the ones who silently bailed out without removing their names from the list

Please let me know about your consent, by putting my name on the assignment - status GenUL - and I'll upload them right away. (im checking daily) or feel free to flame my mailbox below ...

Sorry

Thanks for taking that load off my back, JaMaZz, and I apologize for accidentially taking your assignment over in the first place. -- TechCentric-Nick 19:30, 23 November 2006 (PST)

No need to apologize

You didn't take my assignment :) I don't remember who the previous assignee was, but he definitely didn't finish it. So I doubled up on this assignment, knowing it would become vacant sooner or later... Since I already generated the table I wanted to save you some time, that is, if you haven't generated it for the better part already. Greetings --JaMaZz 06:14, 24 November 2006 (PST)

Hi things seem to have stagnated with the NTLM tables :-<

I have generated the table sets from 0-10 plus some of the others, I propose we create torrents for each set ie: 27 separate torrents containing 22 tables each.

What does everyone think ? Is this a good Idea or should we break it up into 5 sets of 5 and one set of 2 ? at least till someone has a full set to seed then we can create a single torrent ?
